NCVPS Credit Recovery Program
Greetings from
Our NCVPS Credit Recovery program is receiving national attention for its rigor, engagement, and unique model. This is not a "point and click at the computer" program with no interaction with a teacher or other students. Our Credit Recovery courses are the full course for credit, completely aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study, and a teacher teaches the students every step of the way!
Our Credit Recovery program grants students that have previously failed high school courses the opportunity to earn credit, learn 21st Century Skills, and build self - confidence while staying on track for graduation. Most importantly, our courses prepare the student for the next level of learning.
The Credit Recovery Program is built upon the mastery learning concept, and our courses are developed and taught by certified North Carolina teachers who are not only outstanding online teachers but are accomplished face-to-face teachers as well. Our Credit Recovery Program is currently offering ten courses: English I – IV, Algebra I and II, Geometry,
Now is the perfect time for your school counselors and Distance Learning Advisors (DLAs) to start evaluating your potential failing students. Once again, our Credit Recovery Program is not for first time credit! Please make sure that your schools are able to meet our technology requirements and that you have a school support plan in place. NCVPS can help you with this! During the Fall and Spring semesters, 90 minutes a day are required for students to complete the course.
If you need more information about our Credit Recovery Program, contact your Virtual Learning Consultant as soon as possible. We look forward to working with you in the near future!
Computer Programming I Testing

The postassessment for 6421 Computer Programming I - Visual Basic.NET is a secure, third-party assessment developed by ExplorNET. The postassessment is based upon the current blueprint for the course (attached). The assessment will be distributed to the Instructional Management Coordinators in each LEA via the secure CTE FTP site. Further questions about the assessment should be directed to Deborah Seehorn, NC DPI Business and IT Education Consultant, dseehorn@dpi.state.nc.us.
